Privacy Policy
Time Boxed keeps your daily plans on your device. No app account, ads, or tracking. You choose whether to export time blocks to Calendar or Reminders.
Priorities, notes, time blocks, and settings are saved on your device, not sent to us.
Calendar and Reminders access is requested only when you choose to export.
Pro purchases use the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Time Boxed iOS app, developed by Greg Adams, handles information. It also describes this policy website and information you choose to send when requesting support.
Time Boxed saves your priorities, brain-dump notes, time-block text, dates, and scheduled times in the app’s local storage so you can return to saved days. Your planner content is not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
The app stores preferences such as your planning hours, time-block interval, number of priorities, appearance, and default export destination on your device.
Apple processes subscriptions and lifetime purchases through the App Store. Time Boxed uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to verify purchase status and unlock or restore Pro features. The app does not send purchase records to a developer-operated server, and we do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide developers with sales and transaction reports through App Store Connect.
Exporting is optional and requires Pro. When you export a filled time block, Time Boxed asks for the relevant system permission and uses Apple’s EventKit framework to save the item.
The app requests write-only Calendar access to create an event with the selected block’s text, date, start time, and end time. It does not request access to read your existing events.
Apple’s permission for this feature is full Reminders access. Time Boxed uses that access to find a writable reminders list and create a reminder with the selected block’s text and due date and time. The app does not read the contents of your existing reminders or upload them to us.
Exported items may sync through iCloud or another account connected to your Calendar or Reminders app, according to your account settings and that provider’s privacy practices. People with access to shared calendars or lists may also see exported items.
Time Boxed has no advertising, analytics SDK, third-party crash-reporting SDK, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated backend. It does not require an app account, collect advertising identifiers, or sell your planner content. It does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or health data.
Apple may process App Store usage and diagnostic information under its own policies and your device settings.
You can deny Calendar or Reminders access and continue planning in Time Boxed. You can change either permission later in your device’s Settings. Revoking permission stops future exports to that destination; it does not remove items you already exported.
You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Plans and preferences remain in the app’s local storage until you change or clear the relevant content or delete the app and its data. Offloading the app may retain its data. Device backups may also contain app data and are managed through your device and backup provider’s settings.
Deleting planner content or the app does not delete events or reminders you already exported. Manage those items in Calendar or Reminders. Apple manages purchase records under its own policies.
Time Boxed uses Apple services for purchases and optional exports. Apple’s handling of information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
This privacy page is hosted on GitHub Pages. It contains no analytics scripts, advertising, embedded trackers, or forms. GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address and request details when serving the page, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Time Boxed stores plans in the app’s private container and relies on Apple’s app sandbox and device protections. Protect your device and any backups or accounts used for exported items. No method of electronic storage is completely secure.
This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices change. The date at the top of the page identifies the latest version.
Questions about this policy can be submitted through the Time Boxed GitHub issue tracker. Issues are public, so please do not include private plans, payment details, or other sensitive information. Information you choose to submit is used to respond to your request and remains in the issue thread unless removed.
